A Bit About Us

Hailing from Brampton, Ontario, Rob’s journey into the world of construction and entrepreneurship began at a young age. Growing up, he eagerly assisted his parents with renovating their rental properties, honing his skills and passion for building. His summers spent working in Muskoka further fueled his love for craftsmanship and the outdoors.

After graduating high school, Rob secured a Division 1 scholarship to Indiana University before transferring back to Canada to pursue his studies at Wilfrid Laurier University. Armed with a solid education, he embarked on a dynamic career path that saw him excel in various high-level business development roles across sales, marketing, finance, and operations within several prominent companies.

Despite his demanding corporate endeavors, Rob always found time to indulge in his true passion—construction projects. In 2003, he seized the opportunity to turn his lifelong love into a full-fledged career by co-founding his first construction company. In this venture, Rob not only showcased his expertise in construction but also demonstrated his acumen in managing the business aspects, marking the beginning of a successful entrepreneurial journey.

Throughout his career, Rob has lent his expertise to over 300 custom residential projects of diverse scopes and complexities. His commitment to excellence and client satisfaction has been unwavering, as evidenced by his hands-on approach from project inception to completion. Rob takes immense pride in his company’s work, fostering enduring relationships with clients that extend well beyond the completion of their homes.

Outside the realms of construction, Rob finds joy and balance in spending quality time with his cherished family—his two kids and his wife, Casey. An avid enthusiast of the great outdoors, he actively engages in alpine skiing, travel escapades, cottage retreats, bicycling adventures, and spirited games of hockey.

Driven by his passion for construction and fueled by his dedication to client satisfaction, Rob continues to leave an indelible mark in the industry, embodying the essence of craftsmanship and entrepreneurial spirit in all his endeavors.

Ryan has always had a love of building and construction. Ryan has been involved in construction since university starting at the age of 20. Since then, he has been involved in numerous cottage build projects. From full-builds to decks and docks, each project has been unique and enjoyable. It is through these experiences that Ryan has come to realize that building in Muskoka is very different from building in the city. From the obvious difference in terrain to the unique plumbing needs and more, building in the north requires a unique skillset and insight. Perhaps most importantly, he believes that creating something that embraces the beauty of the natural surroundings rather than overpowering them remains critically important to the process of building in Muskoka.

Ryan holds a degree from McMaster University where he played on the varsity rugby team. Through Ryan’s business history, he brings a wealth of knowledge to our team. Before stepping down to focus on the RBA projects closer to home and cottage, for many years Ryan was the President of a company in the healthcare field. In this role, he was intimately involved in all of the clinic construction projects for the company’s new clinic builds over the years. The skills and insights gained from Ryan’s experiences have proven to be a tremendous advantage to the RBA team. Leading a large staff, time and goal management, project flow, budget management, attention to detail, and perhaps most importantly, customer service excellence, have all been critical to Ryan’s success. Ryan looks forward to making your Muskoka dreams a reality.

When not working, Ryan loves spending time with his wife Colleen and their two wonderful boys, Gavin and Nathan. Ryan enjoys hiking, mountain biking, skiing and wake foiling in the summer and downhill skiing in the winter.
